Samsung Galaxy Note LTE Review

The latest Tablet by Samsung has been announced with a lot of promising and exciting features for the users. The Samsung Galaxy Note LTE 10.1 N8020 is not just another tablet introduced merely for the sake of adding something new to the Samsung family; in fact, the Samsung Company has really introduced something “new” to the market.

The users eagerly await this first ever tablet with a stylus. This electronic pen makes it more convenient, as well as fun, to use the tablet. Secondly, it is one of the latest Android supporting tablets for having version 4.1 of the OS, also known as JellyBean.

It provides the coverage of not just two, but three networks: 2G, 3G as well as 4G. This is actually, where it gets its name “LTE” from. As the global communication moves from 3G to 4G, this tablet is sure to cater to the needs of people for a long time. Moreover, by providing the coverage of three networks, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note tablet will be providing a better and faster connectivity. In addition, this is also how it has fulfilled the promise of providing something new since so far the market has only begun to see the coverage of all three networks together within a single device.

However, on the downside, this tablet does not have a good pixel density. In fact, the pixel density of approximately 149 PPI is not impressive at all for a tablet, which is expected to deliver the best. However, with 16M colors, the display is great for all the average users. Only the users with the sharpest eye-sight will be able to notice the low pixel density. Most of the users would be able to happily settle with it.

On the other hand, many of the Samsung Galaxy smart phones are famous for their Super AMOLED touch screens for the best display and visibility. The same was expected from the upcoming tablet by Samsung. However, with a simple capacitive touch screen, the users feel a little disappointed. It seems as if Samsung did not want to make an effort to provide the best in the tablet of the future. This is probably to keep the price range from getting too wildly high.

The camera of the Samsung Galaxy Note LTE 10.1 is not great, but good enough. Again, the expectations were for a higher megapixel with lots of picture enhancing features. However, Samsung has provided with a 5 MP camera with only an LED flash; no autofocus, no face detection, no smile detection and no Geo tagging. However, mostly a decent resolution and an LED flash are all which are required for good pictures. This is exactly what Samsung has provided in order to keep the tablet within an affordable range.
