Another member joins the Q family with launch of Noir A6 touch phone. Thankfully, the company has been coming up with some quality products for more than a year. Now it is focusing on the affordable means of offering high quality smart phones. However those who are expecting to see high-end leveled smartphone like Galaxy S 3 and iPhone 5 would hardly ever look on A6.
But undeniably, new Noir A6 is budget phone especially against Noir A8 and it will share many features with its co-models. The phone has been launched at a price in Pakistan that is hard to ignore and you can find it easily at your nearest electronics outlet. So, what is new in the new touchphone from QMobile Pakistan? It comes with Video Calls support through Skype, 1GHz processor powered with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and above all it is awesomely affordable.
Although, the designs resembles the Galaxy models but still the phone is miles away from that look and feel. One does question to buy a Qmobile for the price that he can buy HTC Wildfire S? The effort however deserves the appreciation since it does the job of smartphone. The Noir A6 is 125 x 65.5 x 9.9 mm in dimensions and its screen spans to 4.0” at a resolution of 800 x 480, which is not as much impressive as A8’s. However, the design and body is comfy and convenient so you can easily carry the phone without having a separate space with you.
Too much rounded corners and cheap feeling body is another disappointing factor that may let you prefer other brands. Moreover, when it comes to beauty and elegance, the Noir A6 fails at first stage against A8. As far as display is concerned, the phone is quite interesting. Images, videos and graphics do the nice pleasing job. Sound is also clear and works as expected.
While we carefully tested the phone the benchmark results were fine. Since the processor is 1GHz so don’t get fooled of its average speed. As we went through A6 specs, we noticed the same 5 megapixel camera with flash that appeared in A8 coupled with a basic VGA camera on the front, built for video calling. One thing notable here is its camera is not Autofocus; another deal breaker.
Noir A6 is packed with just 4GB internal memory that you can extend up to 32GB with microSD card, truly not sticking to that price. To its other features, it has Bluetooth connectivity, Wi-Fi and GPS, 2G network support, multimedia and social media pre-installed apps.
The bottom line is if you afford to pay a quality smartphone price for Chinese brand that has 1GHz processor, runs Android OS with beauty and memory factor compromised then the new Noir A6 is your new mobile.
