Qmobile E650 clearly shows that there is always something cooking in the QMobile design lab putting in all the important ingredients at the right places to define a seemingly perfect cellphone recipe. In a price like this, it is hard to believe how you put a fancy camera, lovely display screen, mesmerizing multimedia features in a stylishly designed candybar phone, but Qmobile did it again. Dual Sim is fine but when it comes with a design like this, it definitely attracts.
The Looks
List of the prominent features of E650 includes its bright screen with good quality display of 2.2“TFT QVGA (240×320), cell phone dimensions are 113×48.5x13mm that make this candybar to look slim and sleek mobile phone and its 81 gm weight makes it easy to carry even in small hands. Silver color appearance is a bit boring giving an outdated looks because of the prevailing trend of bright color phones. Making a combination of contrasting colors would have been better. Still, does not exude a low cost feel.
Connectivity
Dual sim is one of the regular features of QMobile cellphones and one glittering feature of this phone is that it manages both quite nicely. The signal reception is good in urban areas, however when you go somewhere remote or even in the parking lot below a shopping center, the signal reception weakens a lot. Other than that, there are seldom any issues with the voice and sound quality. GPRS works fine if you are in a good signal reception range. E650 supports Bluetooth and microUSB for connectivity, however, don’t expect Wi-Fi or anything like that.
Multimedia
Multimedia features of the Qmobile E650 are impressive and heartbreaking. Support for a wide range of multimedia options including both, video and audio; impressive. A 3.5 jack to create sound that mesmerizes; impressive. But pinching and uneven sound quality on high volume, a real heartbreak. Another heartbreak is that you don’t get to make you own libraries in this phone. However, a slot to support external memory up to 8GB; impressive.
Memory & operating system
This smart handset offers internal storage of 2 GB that is quiet sufficient if we consider other phones of Nokia or Samsung coming with a similar price tag. The memory is extendable to the limit of 8GB through external memory card. E650 runs a low cost Chinese operating system; it has certain drawbacks like slow processing and low credibility.
Camera
Of course, with a price tag like that, even a camera of 3.2 MP is wow some. The camera is a striking feature of this phone compared to other rival mobile phones out there, but with fixed focus and no flashlight, it provides an average image quality.
The punch line
With all its pros and cons, we can say that it is a reasonable cell phone with good features, sleek outlook and because of the class of the handsets it belongs.
