Nokia Lumia 510 Review

What happened to Nokia is plainly beyond understanding. There was a time when Nokia used to produce only reasonable phones that had all the abilities to satisfy user needs but now with Nokia Lumia 510 it does not seem so. They make two really impressive phones that inspire people and then they just start giving out pieces of crap. Same goes of this phone. With Lumia 510, it seems like Nokia tried to come up with a downsized Lumia brand and in the way to do so, they lost the idea what people really want. Even Nokia Lumia 510 price in Pakistan is beyond common sense. Limited storage and that too is not extendable, running a WP 7.5 Mango with 256 MB RAM and display quality of 65K colors is simply a deal breaker.

The body design of this phone is although not that bad. It is a petite phone, pretty much easily handle-able, smart and lightweight. With a 4-inch TFT screen on the fascia, sound control buttons on the side and a 5MP camera on the back, it exudes quite a fancy look. But, when you are talking about smartphones and moreover the one coming in Lumia family, you do expect a lot. And this is where things start taking the U-turn for Nokia Lumia 510.

The screen supports 480 x 800 pixels with just 65K screen colors which means that you will have all those ugly looking boxes all over your screen when you are trying to watch something full-screen on it. And with no coating on the screen, you’ll be just wiping your screen every other moment when at least it should have been scratch resistant. Nokia really needs to look into this when it comes up with a phone that has a mix blend of specifications. However, it is also possible that this phone was intended for the people who want to have a taste of Lumia series in a budget. Still, the Nokia 510 price in Pakistan does not justify its specs. How could a 4-inch screen, Windows 7.5 Mango running phone justify storage capacity limited to 4GB. And above all, no processor in the phone! So, from Nokia Lumia 510 you should expect a tacky non-smartphone experience, with low responsiveness and slow processing.

If you are not expecting a lot from it, Nokia Lumia 510 could do just fine. The audio quality is great, the camera is although limited to 5MP but produces spell bounding results. Internal storage being limited, Nokia Lumia 510 gives you 7GB space on Skydrive from Microsoft. The document viewer and internet browsing, both are quite reliable. Support for a wide range of multimedia types is also a good aspect and on the top of it, Lumia 510 comes in a wide range of colors, letting you choose the right 510 to suit your taste.

On the whole, Nokia Lumia 510 price in Pakistan gives you a set of bad hardware and impressive software, which create an unfavorable blend for the user. While mobile internet is not that popular in Pakistan, there are still a lot of better options to go for until Nokia comes up with a real heartthrob Lumia phone in a budget.
