It is amazing the way mobile manufacturing companies follow the trends. Apple hit the market with the grand success of iPhone 2G and suddenly all the companies started manufacturing touch screen mobiles. The credit should be given to Blackberry that they didn’t join the race of manufacturing touch screen mobiles. They only released Storm Series as touch screen mobiles. Blackberry sticks to manufacturing of QWERTY mobile phones and when these phones achieved success all the other companies started making QWERTY mobile phones. Even HTC joined the race and released HTC ChaCha. Nokia and Samsung have always been close competitors as QWERTY mobile phones released by Nokia and Blackberry were expensive so Samsung released few models that were cost effective like Samsung Ch@t 335 and Samsung Genio. The response was immediate from Nokia and they released which Nokia C3. Nokia C3 price in Pakistan is extremely affordable and is perhaps the best cost effective mobile phone available in Pakistan.
Nokia C3 was released in June 2010.Nokia C3 has a stylish and eye catching design. When you have first look at it you might think it is an expensive phone with beautiful shiny metallic casing and very neat QWERTY keypad. It weighs 114g and its dimensions are 115.5 x 58.1 x 13.6 mm. Dimensions may be questioned but you would expect such dimensions for a QWERTY mobile phone. Nokia C3’s display size is 2.5 inches supporting 256k colours and 320 x 240 pixels resolution. Nokia C3 has 55MB storage memory and can be increased up to 8GB using MicroSD memory card. Buyers in Pakistan will also get the 2GB MicroSD card when they buy the phone. Nokia C3 comes up with 2.0 mega pixel camera and the result is not pretty bad considering that it is only 2.0 mega pixels. Unfortunately, there is no flash with the camera and the result goes quite blur when captured in a place with low light.
Internet browser integrated in Nokia C3 is also pretty strong and supports flash. It might be disappointing to the serious buyers to read that Nokia C3 runs on Symbian S40 Operating System. With Symbian S40 Operating System forget about multitasking and installing installing applications with .sisx extension. But this is understandable as Nokia had to either compromise on Operating System or on price and Nokia went with price to compete Samsung in manufacturing cost effective QWERTY mobile Phones.
The most significant feature in Nokia C3 after its design and QWERTY keypad is Wi-Fi. It is probably the cheapest mobile phone released by Nokia that comes with Wi-Fi.
